Infinix hot 8 Overview



Infinix, a sub-brand of China- based Transsion Holdings, launched its Hot 8 smartphone in India recently at a price tag of Rs 7,999. The highlights of the phone include a triple rear camera setup and 5,000mAh battery. It is available in two colour options: Quetzal Cyan and Cosmic Purple. Infinix Hot 8 comes in only one RAM and internal storage variant: 4GB+64GB. The phone will be available at a special price of Rs 6,999 till October 30 via Flipkart.



Infinix Hot 8 sports a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 720x1600 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is a waterdrop notch display. Some of the other features of the display include 500nits brightness and 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone measures 165 x 76.3 x 8.7mm and weighs about 179 grams.



The smartphone comes powered by a 2GHz Helio P22 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB RAM. It runs on the company’s own XOS 5.0 based on Android 9 Pie. The smartphone has a native internal storage of 64GB  that can be further expanded using a dedicated microSD card by up to 256GB. Infinix Hot 8 is a dual-SIM phone and supports Nano SIM only.




For imaging duties, the smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that consists of the following sensors– 13MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and a third low-light camera sensor. For selfies, there is an 8MP sensor at the front with f/2.0 aperture and dedicated LED flash. As for the features of the triple rear camera setup, users will have at their disposal PDAF, Quad LED Flash support, eight scene modes, Custom Bokeh, AI HDR etc. The front camera features include AI Portrait, AI Beauty, WideSelfie etc.



The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The various connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.0, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port etc. There is only one native storage option of 64GB but it can be expanded via microSD card by up to 256GB.



The  sensors on the phone include a rear fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor etc.

Infinix Hot 8 smartphone price in India is Rs 9,490. Infinix Hot 8 was launched in the country on September 12, 2019 (Official). As for the colour options, the Infinix Hot 8 smartphone comes in Cosmic Purple, Quetzal Cyan colours.
